World Singing Day is a global sing-along held annually on the 3rd Saturday in October. As a catalyst for positive human connection, this one day each year serves as an opportunity to celebrate our global family through the international language of music.
Founded in 2012 by Colorado (USA) musician Scott Johnson, World Singing Day brings people together in their communities all around the world through the simple act of singing together.

The Rendez-vous culturel event will be held on Sunday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre, located at 176 du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road.

On behalf of Acappella Sounds Chorus, our members Wendy and Alice delivered approximately 300 lbs of food donations which were gratefully received by the West Island Mission. We are happy to have helped our community this 2023 holiday season.

Seven of our members attended Region 1 “Colors of Harmony” for an educational weekend in Marlborough Massachusetts. Classes with Ryan Heller on singing, sound and music, private voice instruction, coaching as well as being entertained by the choruses and quartets who will be attending our International competition in Louisville Kentucky. Last but not least, our future, ‘Young Singers in Harmony’.

Deke Sharon, an American singer, arranger, composer, director, producer, pioneer, and teacher of a cappella music. He is one of the leaders, promoters of the contemporary a cappella community.
